Renew Skin with Laser Resurfacing
The effects of time and environment can show up in your skin as wrinkles, age spots, scars and uneven tone. Fractional Skin Treatments are designed to provide relief from a variety of conditions with ablative and non-ablative lasers.
Ablative energy removes the outer layer of damage skin allowing for renewed dermal growth, while non-ablative heat stimulates new collagen production. REFIRM Calgary Skin Clinic combines both methods to offer with amazing results, high comfort and minimal recovery time.

How Fractional Skin Resurfacing Works
Fractional Skin Resurfacing uses laser energy to resurfacing your skin using a combination of wavelengths to target difference areas. One laser targets the epidermis – the skin’s topmost layers – while a second laser targets deeper dermis. A wound healing response in lower layers causes undesired pigments to rises to the surface and peel away as your skin heals. New collagen is produced to smooths out crevices and elastin growth is stimulated to support the skin structure.

What to Expect
Before the procedure a REFIRM clinician will apply an anesthetic topical cream to your skin. Typical treatments times are 30-60 minutes. HALO integrates a ventilation mechanism to maximize comfort for both patient and clinician.
While you may experience some side effects, they are quite rare. Some rare effects can be swelling, redness and itching at the treatment area. The ablative procedure removes the top layer of skin and can carry a slightly higher risk of infection. Your expert REFIRM clinician will provide post-care instruction for minimal side effects and optimal results.
